Lake Powell 2012

Towards the beginning of the summer our neighbors, Scott and Alison, planned a couples trip to Lake Powell to stay on their family houseboat. Unfortunately we were the only couples from the neighborhood that could join them but that didn't stop us from having a good time. It was a quick trip leaving early Thursday morning and coming home late the following Saturday. All excited to be there we jump on the boat to go out for a drive and the boat DIES! Come to find out it was something major and the boat was out of commission for our whole trip. Good thing we still had jet skis to play on because those were the perfect toys for this pregnant momma. After all our fun in the sun and before we took off, Scott took us all on a hike (or more like a walk) through some narrows. It was a guided tour with them showing us all sorts of cool things that the water from Powell has created over the years. Just like all trips without kids, they seem to go too fast, but it is always nice to be home to see the kiddos. Hopefully next year we can do it again... not pregnant and with a boat!
